SE: Upload to ImageShack

Post by Dreamer »

Suggestion for XnView Shell Extension.

Upload image to ImageShack. Use the ImageShack plugin, if possible.

Thanks.

Edit:

1. Add this also for Shell Extention:

http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=14639

2. Also this:

Upload image/file to mediafire.com

If you could add it, it doesn't matter. It would be very useful.

Any chance to add this before the break? It would be very useful.

I'm using the shortcut to create a screenshot, my file manager is running all the time, so I could use the xnview shell extention to quicky upload the image. Now I have to open xnview, switch to viewer and search for it in menu each time to upload it, it's quite annoying. :(

Once more request concerning this now that it's added.

An option to automatically copy the link to the clipboard would be very useful. Similar to Shup. :)

Also, if you could disable the page from opening that's one less tab that I have to close.

Thanks again, the shell extension has improved nicely over the last year or so. :)

Additonal image services? / Weitere Bildspeicherdienste?

Post by ds411 »

<Moderator's note: This post has been translated by a moderator.>
It would be good if the context menu for uploading image to an image service like ImageShack would be freely configurable, thus further services could be included by editing a config file. Currently ImageShack is one of the slowest providers and the list of similiar services is almost endless. For example pictureupload, directupload oder imagebanana.

Original message:

Xnview always goes into a 'Not Responding' state if I use the filter> image shack upload option...

course it stays like that until it passes the final output url to my browser.. with no indication of upload status...

a bit annoying.. anyway this could be improved? can't it pass the url straight to the browser straight away, or at least after its saved the image if its like a screencapture?

the suggestions copied from here:
herr_k. wrote:[SUGGESTION]

1.
before uploading could there be a dialog for the format?
to choose maybe from jpg, gif, png at least?

2.
an uploadbar or some indication while uploading.
now the only indication is freezing whole xnview.
also copying the direct link to clipboard after uploading sounds great,
but the most important for me is 1.
i often take a screenshot and want to upload only a part of it.

so when importing the shot into xnview, editing it, i have to save it first, load it then again and upload it. not really comfortable.

cheers

Hmm.. perhaps the option to choose which link (direct, forum thumbnail...) will be used / copied to clipboard would be useful, if possible.
