[OK] RC1: Tabs won't come back if unchecked at view-submenu.

Post by marsh »

Once folder tabs are unchecked using view submenu, they will not come back
if checked again. They sometimes come back if 'always have folder tabs'
option is checked.

You means by checking Window/....? I don't understand the problem?

The new tabs do not reappear if un-flagged and re-flagged
at top menu>view section.

Start browser mode. (a new tab called browser is seen below menu).
Go to drop-down menu 'view'.
Unselect 'folder tabs' box. (tab should go away now).
Flag 'folder tabs' again. (now tab won't show up again, it should reappear).

So you have Option/Folder tabs/Always TAB, start xnview with browser, and uncheck View/Folder tab, right?
I have no problem :-( Someone else with the same problem?
Pierre.

The view option 'Only one view opened' effectively disables folder tabs.
If it is flagged, users will never see tabs, nor will users importing
v.1.74 xnview.ini. However, if 'always have folder tabs' is flagged,
users will always see just one tab (browser) when 'only one view opened'
is selected. This caused my confusion.

If you have 'Only one view opened', you have not folder tabs????
Could you send me your old .ini file?
Pierre.

I can confirm this. If you enable both "Tabs always enabled" and "Only one view opened" no more tabs appear. But i'm not sure if that isn't even on purpose since you want "only one view opened" anyway. You don't need tabs then anyway, do you?

Right. This option effects tab display.

Yes. I'll need to recreate it first.

To recreate problem more easily, its important to unflag and reflag
'Folder Tabs' after 'Only one view opened' has been flagged.
