Folder Pane doesn't render unicode folder name.
Unicode folder names are not rendered correctly. Non-western characters appear as white rectangles.
Even though "location bar" can render unicode correctly.
Thanks,
Sand

Re: Folder Pane doesn't render unicode folder name.
Thumbnail View is able to render unicode character.
Folder Pane, Favorite Pane, Category Pane all are unable to render unicode string.
While "Location Bar", "Thumbnail View", "Add to Favoite Dialog" are able to render unicode character.
[Windows 7 32-bit]

And a screenshot if you are in Wallpaper folder, and if you activate folder in thumbnail view?
I have no problem with cyrillic folder name.
Is it possible to send me a file/folder?

Re: Folder Pane doesn't render unicode folder name.
Let others with 7 or vista try this out then.
Perhaps 7 might change some property of Windows API Font? I don't know.
Anyway, XnView 1.97 displays unicode characters correctly though.

Ok, i've tried on 7, and yes your folder name is not correctly rendered. But the cyrillic is ok... Very strange...sandthorn wrote:Let others with 7 or vista try this out then.

Re: Folder Pane doesn't render unicode folder name.
Was this problem ever fixed? I am getting the same problem. I can't open a folder in XnView which contains unicode (e.g. Arabic) characters.
I can't use Windows browser (which is set to open XnView by default) to open a file which has Arabic characters in it's path. I get an error which shows question marks in the path where non-English characters should be.
I am using windows 7 64 bit.
