Can somebody verify this behavor?
I create a shortcut of XnView on the desktop and it's the familiar XnView icon, but if I drag XnView to the taskbar to create a shortcut there, a generic computer icon is created, instead of the correct one like the one that appears in the system tray when XnView is running.
This behavior just began in RC2.

Re: Generic shortcut icon in Windows taskbar. (minor)
I've just tried with XnView 1.80 RC2 on Windows 98 SE. No problem here.Andy wrote:Can somebody verify this behavor?

Just an idea: Have you associated files with XnView?
Strange. Perhaps checking the properties of the link may help: Right-click on the XnView icon with the wrong icon and choose "Properties" in the context menu.Andy wrote:... I've fixed all broken links, cleaned and compressed the registry but it didn't fix the problem. ...
In the properties dialog, check the Target (should be something like "C:\Program Files\XnView\xnview.exe") and the icon displayed at top left (should be the normal XnView icon). Then you can try "Change icon" and select the XnView icon and confirm the dialog.
This is surely a workaround, only. At the moment I cannot say why XnView icon is not shown when you Shift+Drag the program file to the taskbar the wrong icon is shown.

No. The problem is fixed in RC3. I didn't rename the subject line correctly?xnview wrote:You have always the problem with RC3??Andy wrote:Looking good, again!
