Tried this, 0.31 still crashes :?

Vapavite: I barley read french, but from what I understand you talk about some image having and embeded url that tries to link externaly? and that is bblocking program? If so: how do I remove links from images (clean up all metadata I guess, how can it be done recursivley with some batch order?) :?:

BUT : xnview mp 0.26 does NOT crash on the same dirs, and neither does plain old xnview 1097.8, nor acdsee nor imagine x86 or x64, nor irfanview.

Hello ElQuia,

I beg your pardon. I do not read or can write English, sorry (I use google translation!)

Vapavite, French is your language so why sould you ask for forgiveness :?:  haha, my native language is spanish but I lived 7 years in the usa. I can read your french because as a kid I studied some french in the Aliance Française.

OK. Done, having said that, I already tried removing everything but jpg from the dirs. My next move will be dividing as you suggest by halfs till i find the culprit/s so I can send them to you guys for analisis.

But even if I find a culprit, that will not answer why it does not happen with MP 0.26. :!:

Any way all of this will have to wait maybe 2 weeks. On Monday I will be undergoing heart surgery, so just now the least of my concerns is MP 0.31

Best to all :D

I found out that a crash happens with certain directories, when Settings - File List - Exclude (all sort of html stuff..) is unticked! So tick the 3 checkmarks there and see if it crashes...
I can easily reproduce this problem...

For some reason I also get a crash when browsing to XnViewMP-folder with attached selection in File List...

Confirmed all. XnView.db causes crash in old-style thumbnails view. So does v.1.97's category.db and website.url

Salut,

vilisov,

Greetings,

Occasionally, restarting program in last-used folder revealed problem for me. Yes, I think content of file matters also. A jpeg misnamed "jpg.db" was displayed. A text file misnamed "image.jpg" was troublesome in thumbnails view. I did not notice v.1.97 features like 'recognize by extension' or 'ignore error' in options yet.

0.26 & 0.31 don't use the same version of my library, so perhaps a file that crashes it...

I can send you a debug version that help you to find the file?
Pierre.
