[Fixed] RC2: Treelist
When navigating the treelist with cursor-keys every subfolder is unfolded immediately,
this should only happen when pressing cursor-right key. Also when left-clicking on a
subfolder once it gets unfolded, this should only happen on a doubleclick.
This is especially disturbing when moving the cursor across Floppy- and CD/DVD drives
without an inserted disc. A request to insert a data carrier is presented three times
and has to be answered before the user can continue.
OS: WinXP Pro SP2

I've added this feature like windows explorer on Xp. So option to disable "one-click mouse behavior"??deus-ex wrote:When navigating the treelist with cursor-keys every subfolder is unfolded immediately,

Re: RC2: Treelist
I'd like to see "one-click mouse behavior" in the browser (for files and folders) as option, disabled by default, but only if it would be very easy to implement (if you add option above, it's the same maybe...), if not never mind, in 1.81 maybexnview wrote:I've added this feature like windows explorer on Xp. I have requested this. At first it might be confusing and irritating for some people. The idea is that handling of MS Explorer and XnView regarding folders is the same.EgoSun wrote:This is not a bug, it must be a feature request to author.
I think you should give this feature a go - without option. If various people find it too disturbing, we should add an option. On Windows XP it should be activated by default, on other platforms it should be off.
The way the key navigation is surely a problem and bug. Folders must only open when navigating and resting for an instant, not when traversing and instantly moving on to the next folder. If fixing this a problem, the whole thing should be rolled back to the original double-click behaviour.
Re: RC2: Treelist
Yes, optional please. Though i use the cursor-keys for browsing the treelist, xnview wrote:I've added this feature like windows explorer on Xp. So option to disable "one-click mouse behavior"??deus-ex wrote:When navigating the treelist with cursor-keys every subfolder is unfolded immediately,

hence i'd like the current behaviour (i.e. immediate unfolding of subdirs) to be
changed to only unfold subdirs when pressing cursor-right.
Maybe you can make the immediate unfolding an option all together?

Ok, i'll add a timer and an option for one click, and a timer when keyboard is used on treeview.Olive wrote:Yes it's how XP does, but I generally don't like it. If I want to expand a folder's content in the tree list, I can just click the + at its left; If I don't want to expand I should just need to click its name, IMO.
