xnview wrote:So i change ENTER to open picture and no more fullscreen.
It works already...
No if you have "dlb click to view in fullscreen".
So the option must be "dbl click to view in fullscreen" or "dbl click or enter to view in fullscreen"????
Sorry, misunderstood.
Please check my post above (bold text) that's what I want.
I think this is easier and very flexible solution to have (hope) all options needed, every user could use keys and mouse buttons he wants...
In Browser:
[x] - "Dbl click to fullscreen"
[x] - "Enter to fullscreen"
- if disabled, open in viewer
- with these options I could always go to fullscreen with F11 and dbl click and always go to viewer with Enter.
And also for mouse:
[x] - "MMB click to fullscreen" (from viewer to standard / from browser to lite)
- this is already possible but the there is no option for this...
- so if it would be disabled, open in viewer, and also go from viewer back to browser with MMB
- reason (again) - MMB is redundant if "Dbl click to fullscreen is enabled"
Keyboard works quite good, so I need just MMB now...

Perhaps a new option is not needed.
Currently you have MMB in preview <=> lite fullscreen, & viewer <=> fullscreen, right?
I'll add MMB on thumbnail

OK, but if "dbl click to go to fullscreen" is enabled, MMB is redundant.
Maybe a new option is not needed - if "dbl click to go to fullscreen" is enabled, you could automatically change option for MMB - to switch between Browser and Viewer, but... switching between Viewer and Fullscreen standard must be also with dbl click, not MMB - I still think switching between all 4 modes with mouse is confusing. I think this would be the best way... (keys works already)
If "dbl click to go to fullscreen" option is disabled, mouse buttons work as above but MMB=LBM dbl click and LBM dbl click=MMB - so maybe just one option is needed:

Above MMB is not used to go to fullscreen, only to switch between viewer and browser. And enter doesn't go to fullscreen to...
And if you have " dbl click to go to browser"???
Above is when "dbl click to go to fullscreen" is enabled, right?
And if disabled, like that:
I've surely heard about the "light fullscreen" before, but have never read this thread thoroughly. To be honest, I don't like the idea of having another mode at all. As Dreamer has pointed out in one of his first posts, this is very confusing and definetely not intuitive.
To find a real solution, we have to first understand: Why was this mode introduced? What's the benefit of having another mode?
If the intention was to provide some sort of "shortcut" from browser to fullscreen, I think there should be an option which is off by default and can be activated by those users who want different behaviour for double-click on thumbnail and double-click on preview. Sure enough, the fullscreen should have the context menu people are used to, not the context menu of the preview.
This problem and the discussion might look like a small problem, but from my point of view this is actually a serious problem, since this is very confusing and people (including me) will not understand.

The fullscreen from browser or lite fullscreen is better for users that want view only pictures/movies quickly. In 1.74, when you want to view a picture in fulscreen, xnview load picture in a view window, and then show it in fullscreen. Here there is no additional load process.
No, when "dbl click to go to fullscreen" is disabled it works like that "image" but with LMB dbl click and MMB replaced - and I want just swap these options...
It is really confusing, I see that helmut wrote something so I'm gonna check...

I'm talking about all the time, if it is confusing for us what about standard users or even novice users?

Yes. Sorry for my late comment. I should have joined the discussion before and give you assistence.

Right. There might be the advantage "speed", but I think there's too many disadvantages which overweigh.

MMB to go to fullscreen (view & browser) and dbl click to switch between view & browser?

I don't understand why it's confusing. Lite fulscreen is used more often than view fullscreen...

Is the context menu, keyboard and mouse handling 100% the same as in fullscreen? If so, there's really no disadvantage.
