5 years later and still no option to select a colour for transparency (alpha channel). What amazes me is that back in 1995 Microsoft's free program "Photo Editor" had this option. You just had to click on the selector button and then point to the colour you wanted to make transparent with your cursor. Then you would save as a PNG or GIF. Almost nobody has had this function ever since, and if any photo editor should have that it should be XnView.
