I can only view these pictures as icones ( 4ko) 150x103 pixels !
except for this one :gz15ho2.jpg (58Ko) 640x464 pixels.

Ok where else can I upload these images to? The orginal images I sent were 1024x724x24bits(gz15=xnview) and 1023x698x24bits(gz14=win pic)
gz14.jpg had the grey menu bars and gz15 from xnview had the pink menu bars.

I went to 110mb.com, registered but did not see any hosting file sites.
Where can I upload g14.jpg and g15.jpg so that the xnview bug can be clearing seen?

OK, now we're gettin' somewhere.
mqsymth, this is propably how you went about saving the screenshot with XnView:
- Edit » Import Clipboard
- File » Save As...
- Save as type » GIF - CompuServe GIF
- Save
If you
must save the screenshot to GIF format for some reason, you should reduce the colors
first, because that way you'll have more options to choose from:
- Edit » Import Clipboard
- Image » Convert to Colours
- Depending on what method gives you the better results, go for either 256 colours (Adaptive) or 256 colours (Dither).
You can always jump back one step (Edit » Undo) before proceeding.
- File » Save As...
- Save as type » GIF - CompuServe GIF
- Save
To achieve the best outcome (without significantly increasing file size) you should consider encoding the image as 24-bit truecolor PNG instead:
- Edit » Import Clipboard
- File » Save As...
- Save as type » PNG - Portable Network Graphics
- Options » Compression level » 9 » OK
- Save

A minor comment:
In most cases, saving with "Adaptive" should be prefered to "Dithered". Dithering works well for photos with many colours, but for Screenshots and images with large areas of one colour, the dots used for dithering can look ugly. Typically, dithered images have a larger file size.
On Wikipedia one can well see

Sure, in
most cases. But it's XnView's
adaptive color reduction algorithm that caused the pink color cast/tint of the menu background in mqsymth's screenshot.

The point is: if I paste the clip board picture into xnview and save as a gif then I should get exactly the picture I copied without having to do anything else. There should be NO pink menu. This is the way all other graphic apps work.
I use the gif format because when you import a picture into Word2000 document and save the file, gif pictures give the smallest file size. JPG pictures give file sizes +50% larger

Neither Adaptive nor Dithered works! The menu bars are still pink. This is a bug that should not occur.

The “pink menu syndrome” can even be observed with one of the official XnView
screenshots. For this demonstration, though, I used a
capture of Windows XP's desktop.
- 256 colours (Dither)
- 256 colours (Adaptive)
- v1.70.4: error diffusion dithering
- v1.91.2: no dithering
When it comes to reducing color depth, XnView's
old adaptive method was – and IMO still is – the most bestest universally applicable. Unfortunately it has been replaced (somewhere along the way between version
1.70 and
1.80) by the current non-dithering algorithm. Therefor v1.70.4 will always have a special place on my HDD, unless I can convince Pierre to reconsider.
