I'm not sure that this sample is correct. The picture size changed for every frame (normal), but without x/y offset

Hello !
• Like
Paul says, it worked in ß-2, I can confirm that.
- From a simple A-GIF template I have made a while ago about different frame-sizes,
Paul made another sample in the same way, and I get the same issue. It's available
HERE.
• Testing this, I noticed that there's a

when switching an animated image,
even a GIF :
1. “View” >> “Browser” —> The animation works in the “Preview”, good.
2. “Browser” >> “View” —> The animation no longer works in “View, it's locked on a single frame.
3. “View” >> “Browser” —> The animation no longer works in “Preview”.
- It doesn't matter whether the animated images have different frame-sizes or not,
it occurs also with GIFs having all frames equal at W¦H.
- Continuing that loop leads to land in a quite empty browser for several seconds, with a pre-crash look.
- I optimized the cache, that doesn't improve the display.
- You must display a
Next or
Previous image in “View” or in “Browser” to break that loop.

Yes, your samples works if i authorize different frame size in the APNG, but then this sample doesn't work anymore!
In your 2 samples, you have no X/Y offset, and i think that it's an error!

Hello !
…In your 2 samples, you have no X/Y offset, and i think that it's an error!
• What can we do against that ? The frames are mounted in GifMovieGear (beta),
there's almost not any other programme to do that…
… the best being (later, later…) to have a plugin¦tool in XnView to be sure that the build is correct…
• What about the issue in
Preview <—> View like I told above ?

So there is a problem in GifMovieGear. I'll try

It's the same problem...
Do you have tried APNG editor?

Again…
Do you have tried APNG editor? …
• Paul knew it, it's a FireFox extension, and I don't use FireFox…
- The Preview - View problem occurs too in folders containing
A-GIFs only,
that worked alright in old versions (checked in 1.82.4 and 1.90 alpha 3).

You must do that handling
several times with the same image,
here I have set LMB double-click to switch View <—> Browser
- Under XP-Pro SP1
- I prepared a video
AVAILABLE HERE as a RAR archive.
- Please, notice that there are GIFs only in the folder !

Hello !
• Indeed my vidéo IS available from the link above.
- I don't think that such a behaviour is normal, that worked properly in old versions.
- I mean that the animation was not stopped the second time and following
when displaying the same image successively in “View” and “Browser”, that I do and need so often…
- I'll test in the ß-4…

Hello !
• When I say old versions, I mean i.e. 1.90.x, 1.82.4, 1.80.3 where the animation restarts alright at least in “View” !
• Like I said in previous messages…

The two files I linked to (
clock-noopt.png &
clock-opt.png) are samples from Justin Dolske's
Animated PNG demos page. He's the guy who wrote the
APNG Editor extension for Firefox. Accoding to an entry in his Mozilla Labs Blog, GIF Movie Gear was used for neither compiling nor optimizing the animation(s):
