Again…
•
Ah que si ! It's how it behaves here ! I ticked that option in four XnView versions and it works with all now…
Otherwise, error message.
- BTW :: I don't remember what is the default, if it's "ON", then a fresh INI is not relevant…
- You might test with the option "OFF" (untick the box) under XP-Pro.
- No extra INI-option for that.

The default is OFF, with a fresh install.
Yes, if this option is OFF, I have the problem too now.
Maybe this option should be ON by default too in a next version ?
Yes, but---

Most certainly, the option "ON" by default should be better, but it depends on the
Pierre's thought about this…
• I left the option "OFF" in all versions to spot really damaged files which could cause a big crash…
- But in the case, I don't see what is so faulty in the B & W TIF we are talking of…

Yes, but even if this option is ON by default, I think it is also possible to have a pop up text warning in case of a corrupted file.

Ohh.. yes, the read-errors are generally skipped here,
thats why everything works fine and I'm spared of things sometimes.
Sorry, I forgot.
@Clo: For future infos of running Version/OS look @ my sig.
