XnView Software

Currently, I'm using an older version on XnView (1.9.2.1), and in that version I can set Internet Explorer to use Thunderbird for email, and it comes up OK to send photos using Thunderbird. Machine is XP.

I have not recently tried a newer version, but whatever the release was back in October 2010, it refused to work with Thunderbird, and the developers said it was a Windows XP problem (although 1.9.2.1 versions of XnView worked fine.)

On my same XP machine, I tried the latest version - 1.98.7 ? And, am HAPPY to report it works with Thunderbird OK now. Wunderful, Thanks !!!

With my XP computer, it happened after installing MS Outlook 2002, having Thunderbird 3 and a 2009er-version of XnView.

I reinstalled Thunderbird 3.1, installed the current version of XnView and finally checked the settings for the mail program:
- in Thunderbird: Tools -> Options -> System Integration
- in Outlook: Tools -> Options -> Other
- in Windows: Settings -> Internet options

Which action finally made it right, I can't tell. At least, it works now.
