Hello,
Right, me too.
XnViewMPWindows v0.20 almost works now under Wine but I have a GUI font problem under v0.20, strange because thumbnails labels font & text are displayed correctly.
Under Wine I have reinstalled via wintricks : vcrun2005 & vcrun2005sp1.
(FI: XnViewMPWindows v0.12 font GUI works correctly)

Wine has its own font problems with Qt apps.

Hello and Thank you for the information Marsh
(Wine bug = No text in Qt-4.5.0 apps when winver >= 2000)
So I have just emulated under Wine a Windows98 behavior, then XnViewMP Windows v0.21 works now under Wine.

Helmut, have you tried to delete all settings files in user folder and in registry?

User folder? Registry? I've deleted the program folder and installed 0.2 - nothing more. From what I can see XnView MP didn't write any files or registry entry (it didn't run - so it probably couldn't).

In: Microsoft.VC80.OpenMP.manifest
I altered this:
version="8.0.50727.42"
to read this:
version="8.0.50727.762"
and it allowed a launch in emulator. This was a blind edit.

I tried deleting the config files and the registry entries, but only modifying the manifest made xnviewMP 0.21 start.

Thanks for the tip.
