- All shortcuts provide the mouse cursor (when there is one), and work here; maybe is it a specific issue of Win 2K ?

Nope! I downloaded the zip package and checked the MD5 checksum and it matched the my old packages MD5 sum.

I just checked mine also and my version is v1.80.1 Jul 4 2005. Same as website's zip file.
The 'Check For Update...' function does not seem to do anything. Is it supposed to send link to web browser?

I've just tried on WinXP SP2 and XnView 1.80.1, dated 4th July 2005.

Like you, I've opened an image and then switched to fullscreen (F11). Then:

- Ctrl + O does display the "Open file" dialog and the mouse cursor is shown. (o.k.)
- Ctrl + E shows the "Adjust" dialog, the mouse cursor is not shown.

OK, re-downloaded, default settings:

<shift+e> - a bug, confirmed
<ctrl+o> - it works with default settings, but doesn't work with my old ini file (Pierre do you want my ini file?)
