XnView Software

So its the number of characters in my path ? I doubt any of my folderpaths has 255 characters.

This particular file has 72 characters in its path (including subfolders and filename).

My basic path is mostly "Bildbearbeitung" (15 letters) and a subfolder.

so not a problem of length of path. so you have only a crash when in XnView's browser you open this file, right?

Thats right. And excluding XCF files and setting the filter to custom seems to do the trick so far.

so the problem comes with xcf file, i'll check...
