I have just tested it with internal codec, meaning that I have removed the ffmpeg addon and there is no change: I typed a seach into quick search. 2 files came up both shown with their file icons. But no thumbnailing started. When I removed letter by letter from the search phrase thumbnailing only started the explorer was filled with file icons.
