This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 0.90. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

Not working in 0.90b2 for
Microsoft Office:
.xlsx (Excel)
.docx (Word)
.vdsx (Visio)
Corel .cdr
Rhino3D (it is easy to do it, see viewtopic.php?f=60&t=37049)
Works for:
.dwg
.gcode (new)
.pptx (PowerPoint - odd - since other file formats from Office do not work)
OpenOffice (everything)
Autodesk Inventor (everything)
Craft files
Blend files
Microsoft Office:
.xlsx (Excel)
.docx (Word)
.vdsx (Visio)
Corel .cdr
Rhino3D (it is easy to do it, see viewtopic.php?f=60&t=37049)
Works for:

Nope. Sorry. (It is difficult to test it because Windows' Explorer messes with it. Now I put XnView MP on a clean server to see for sure what is working and what not.)
