This problem greatly spoils the experience of working with your program. It has a lot of functionality, I often work with dds and vtf formats, there is a built-in converter ... But when I need to send a picture to someone, "dancing with a tambourine" begins.

from QT team, the problem comes from discord app, it should support drag&drop like "file://..."

Just make your program work like all other normal programs, including Explorer, and drag & drop the files themselves, and not useless links to them.
You even have XnView Classic doing everything right, like Explorer for example. But something is broken in MP and you can't fix it for 1.5 years!

I have been waiting for a fix of this problem for two whole years. Is it really that hard to do? Just make drag & drop work like in XnView Classic or Win Explorer. Many programs or sites do not understand why they need a link to a file and refuse to accept such drag and drop.

I think that i found a workaround (was not so easy, the problem is not with file://) Issue.

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 0.98.4. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

Okay... The main thing is that I can finally start to fully use this program. For two years I could not drag pictures into the Discord window or, for example, search for Yandex pictures. (Now everything works, I checked).

Please provide a way to drag and drop links. This is the behavior of the previous version (0.93 - I am using 0.94). The ability to drag a photo as a link and to drop the link into a database as text is the primary reason I use xnViewMP. I realise that other people want to drag the photo data and not the text link but I *need* to be able to drag links. Sometimes, I like to drag photos, such as from xnView to an email client but this for me is a minor use. Can you please provide a switch that can be used to set drag and drop behavior.
