Thanks for the links. Partial updates can be foiled by misssing files. A complete update works in such cases (as you probably guessed).

Update!
I've seen some very weird crashes with Firefox 2.0 and recommend most users stay with Firefox 1.5.0.7 or wait like I am for 1.5.0.8.

Not a single crash since RC 1 on my home and work pc. Doesn't seem to be a general problem.

This crap had been going on for two fricken weeks before they finally decided to quietly issue an addendum to the release notes on November 22nd: “New known issue with identical message headers”. :evil:

I use Gmail through "Firefox 1.5.0.8" so that doesn't affect me :)

It will be fixed in Thunderbird 1.5.0.9.
