This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.01. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

Thanks for the fix. Both mov and mp4 files are played in correct orientation now. But we do not get thumbnails for either (anymore?)!

you can't create thumbnail for video files?

I will try some database maintenance to see what happens.

Rebuilding manually or deleting the folder from catalog does not fix the videos not getting thumbnails.

No, was not set, but I also never touched that setting (or even ever navigated to that tab). Works now after enabling video thumbnails. What is the default setting?

Thanks again! That's why I wrote "(anymore?)" before, as I was not sure what it was set to before and wasn't able to find a corresponding setting (missed the extra tabs). Sorry for the extra work.
