I haven't tested it extensively but it looks good so far.
One more issue:
In Settings--->General--->Startup
I set
Open= "Viewer"
Start without file
Open browser
Directory=Last
But after exit and restart I had to navigate from scratch through my whole partition to get to my testimages directory.
Why does XnviewMP not remember the "testimages" folder from last exit?

This problem is supposed to be fixed in
XnView MP 1.7.0. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

No, v1.7.0 does NOT remember last folder at exit
