I am using your amasing program since several years already and have always been absolutely happy with it.
Thanks a lot to you for providing such a great tool as freeware for us!
btw - the "latest" changes in the colormanagement handling are also absolutely great!
I have been starting to think about rating and color labels and came accross the fact, which had been discussed here already
in some threads, that XNView currently doesn't store ratings & labels in the image file itself but in the db "onlY".
I read at another place, that you plan to implement capabilities to store rating (and hopefully labels as well)
in the standard XMP format & area within the next version(s)!?
Will you also add capability of reading existing rating & label out of XMP data and transfer to XNView db? e.g. when they are
written by other programs (of course only in case of following some standards).
Have you already received XMP templates, written from other programs as requested before?
If not, here is what e.g. FastPictureViewer writes in the Lightroom/IDimager settings or format (I guess this should be
Adobe conform!?) to an image, when rating and labeling it:
