Could it be that changes in the 'MP filesize or some other parameter are being detected, maybe due to program configuration changes? A test for that possibility might be to launch, immediately close the program, then relaunch when nothing should have changed.

Very speculatively, could it be that you have your settings and databases in Program (XnView) rather than User (System), and that changes in the program folder are being detected when the program is relaunched?

Yes, .ini and .db are in xnview folder
But there're many app store their .ini and .db in program folder too...
