Problem xnview 1.68.1 + xorg-6.8

Hi to all and sorry for my bad english

I can start xnview but when i choose tools --> convert it crashes with:

I have all the right fonts!
I tried to change the font names (in file usr/lib/X11/app-defaults/XnView/XnView) into some other valid font but it give me the same error ;(

Another xorg-6.8.0 user on Gentoo forums have my same problem...

Hi,
Xorg is a fork of Xfree, just before version 4.4.0 and just before the change of licence to a not GPL one.

Most distribution use xorg now instead of xfree.

Fedora Core 2 use xorg version 6.7 (Xfree86 4.3.0 in FC1)
Mandrake 10.1 also incude xorg 6.7
Suse annonce : "For subsequent products we switch to X.Org to offer a reliable alternative that lets our customers benefit from future enhancements in Linux desktop infrastructure technology."

And so on..

It works fine here with x.org 6.8.1 on Slackware current. The only nasty problem is the exit from fullscreen Bug

It doesn't work here at home neither at work with xorg-6.8.0...
On Gentoo forums others have the exact same problem...

I will try with xorg-6.8.1...

It must have something to do with the xorg update screwing up the font configs.

I have the same problem, but if i am adding my university's fontserver to the font directory in xorg.conf, everything works just fine. (with xorg 6.

i have the same problem on FC3 (test3) with xorg 6.8.
it just stop working one day ( probably, after upgradeing xorg and its font server ?#@!!# )

hi have solved the Problem on my Machine (Debian Sarge, X.org 6.8.1). Change the Font-Path Elements in /etc/X11/xorg.conf to:

Hi,
My FontPath declarations in /etc/X11/xorg.conf are the same as yours, but I still get the crash when I try to convert. My error is:

Current serial number in output stream: 20626

I'm also running xorg, as follows:
