"Fullscreen" edit mode needed?

I have learnt there is confusion about two fullscreen modes.
Does "fullscreen edit" gives some advantages over standard edit in window?

Absolutely. I draw mouse between screen corners to quickly select screen resolution for cropping (also possible in fullscreen with keys). It is also nice to quickly select screen ratio 4:3 in this manner (even if picture is zoomed). Great feature that is much lacking in most software I have looked at.

I would rather say that it is a lack of possibilites of crop tool in window mode (like no on-screen settings like in most applications) than advantage of fs-edit.
