Selecting with right and left arrows...

If 'View as' 'Thumbnails' or 'Icons' is on, moving just with right (and left) arrow is possible, but selecting with right (and left) arrow no. Could you add selecting with right and left arrows, please
I'll try to explain...
Code: Select all
+---+---+---+
| 1 | 2 | 3 |
+---+---+---+
| 4 | 5 | 6 |
+---+---+---+
| 7 | 8 | 9 |
+---+---+---+
If I want go from image 3 to image 4, I can with right arrow.
But if I want select images
3, 4 and 5, it's
not possible now, I must change view to 'view as details' but I can't see thumbnails anymore, so I don't know what I wanted to select...
Hope you understand what I mean and if it's possible you'll add it even in
this version
(I know it's possible with ctrl and muse somehow, but it's not very transparent, especially with many images)
And could you add
F7 hotkey for
'Create New Folder' too

(BTW thanks for F3 hotkey for search

)
Thank you very much

I agree that the behaviour should be the same when moving between files and when selecting multiple files.
My observation however is that the function of going from last file in row to the first file in next row with the right arrow key is not possible in "Windows Explorer" on Win2000.
Windows Explorer in icon view mode can only select multiple files that are arranged onscreen in a rectangular area. (At least on my computer)
And this is the same as XnView does.
But if the funcionality of going over the border and show up on the other side is intentional in XnView, then my opinion is that it should work the same way with multiple selection. As Dreamer suggests.

If I want go from image 3 to image 4, I can with right arrow.
But you can't in Windows Explorer!

Yes, it's the problem. I use the control as windows explorer. Seems to work on WinXP!

But, then again...
In XnView using Icon view you can go from the last item in a row to the first item in the row below with the right arrow key. This can not be done in Windows Explorer on my Win2000 machine. So it is not exactly as Windows Explorer in XnView!
The inconsistency is that this this special behaviour of XnView does not work when holding down the shift key to select multiple files. And I have to agree with Dreamer that the functionality should be the same whether shift key is down or not.
