Toggle Zoom quality ?

:) Hello !

• Zoom High quality is nice when viewing photos, especially.

- However, when it's set, it becomes quite boring to use with some small¦medium pictures
which look quite blurred, while it's unwanted.

• For instance, I've often many small icons *.ico as 21²…24²… to view as strongly blown up, and in that case I'm bound to go in the Options each time, in order to disable that feature.

• Hence, I thought that a command for a button should be nice, I didn't find one yet. Let's say, something like :
cmd_ToggleZoomQuality
It should stand for “Enlarge” only, because “Reduce” is useless for that purpose.

The must could be an automatic feature, either able to disable the High Quality according to the extension of the current file, or the opposite : Just enable the feature for some stated extensions (I think mostly the JPEG family).

Claude,

It looks more like a new Suggestion rather than a Bug report -> Pierre will handle this depending on his resource.
Short-term solution: uncheck 'HQ Enlarge', except when really needed (what I have chosen for several reasons).

This idea is quite interesting. I guess image size (ex: X and Y <256) and bitdepth may help deciding too.

A request

:) Hello !

• Like the title says, it's a request, and this section has “…Requests…” in its title too… 8)

• Indeed, I disable HQ-Enlarge for ever in all versions (4 installed)…

• Of course, that should be better. I just thought to the basic principle.
• Finally, I guess that always disabled, then enabled according to the chosen criteriæ
could be easier to realize and to understand by users.

I move this to 'Postponed' due to very limited time before release.
Please feel free to discuss it further, even in the 'posponed' group.
