Batch convert, option to keep directory structure

From changelog:
"* Batch convert, option to keep directory structure"
Where is it? If you mean "Keep subfolder structure", than it's not the same...
...I think 'real' option to keep directory structure (same as empty directory field) is really needed, it's very confusing for most users and it will be even more with this new (similar) option IMHO.

OK, so there is no "option to keep directory structure" then, right? Then it should be changed in the changelog, I think.
And again - even if naming of "Keep subfolder structure" is correct (and will be also in the changelog), it will be confusing for users IMO, because most of them need the option "keep directory structure" - they don't know that they have to empty the output dir. field.
I think this option is very needful, there are many posts from confused users in the forum - and most users don't know about it and will never read this forum or Help, (also) because they don't speak English.

What do you means by 'keep directory structure', could you post an example?

I mean the same option as "empty the output dir. field" - all output files will be in the original folders, or is it a same option - just misunderstanding?

No this option allows to create subfolders used for original in destination folder!

OK, so then it's confusing and option to keep directory structure is really needed. Can you add such option? Output dir. field would be greyed out if enabled - possible? Otherwise it will be very confusing for users IMO.

Sorry i don't understand?? Why do you want to greyed output dir if this option is enabled??

Because you can't change output path if option to use original path (for all images) will be enabled. Sorry for confusion, perhaps I didn't use accurate terms, so I mean "use original path (as output)", not "keep directory structure".

Hmm... As I said, I mean the same as if I empty field in:
Batch Convert > General > Output > Directory [ ***this one*** ] [...] [*>]
If this field is empty, all images are saved/converted to original folders / path, it's an existing "feature", but most users don't know about it, since there is no real option for it - and - with the new option ("Keep subfolder structure") it will be even more confusing I think.

Oh i understand, sorry. You means to disabled 'Keep subfolder' if output folder is empty, right?

No.
If you empty the field in:
Batch Convert > General > Output > Directory [ ***this one*** ] [...] [*>]
...all images will be saved to original folders / path, I want just an option to do the same.
Do anyone else know what I mean??

We mentioned it
here (among other places). The current GUI option was mentioned years ago
here.

Implemented in beta 4, thanks Pierre, it will be much clearer now for normal users and beginners.
Closed.
