How about adding an option to specify cache only specified folders? That way, users can browse around the hard drive without worrying about generating thumbnail buildup for miscellaneous folders--and still have cached thumbnails? Perhaps add 'save thumbnails for this folder' option to the right click menu option and toolbar? Will help reduce the need to manually clean out thumbnail cache by preventing unnecessary buildup in the first place.

I support this request (I am also quite sure I read it somewhere already... ).

It probably needs more polishing regarding the interface (what about an 'exclude list' in the Options>Thumbnails?) and would require too much work for 1.90 anyway -> postponed.
It can be discussed further even in the 'postponed' section, of course.

well no need for exclude list, since include list would be much concise to mantain and is what's useful.
