Very long file name, but can't reproduce it.
You start the browser, and you have the crash?

I think it is the long extension, the original extension ".url" was lost while coping on an usb-stick. Now the rest after "amazon." is the extension. It's more than 128 characters and xnview crashes.

Not fixed in RC2. When browsing to a directory that contains a file with an extension > 128 characters, xnview crashes.

You have a crash if you open the browser? No selection?

I have tested two methods.
Create a directory with two files. One with a file name with long extension (e.g. 'a' '.' and 140 'b'). The second file is a normal named picture file that is associated with xnview.
1.
Open the picture file with Explorer or another file manger. Xnview starts, displays the picture and immediately crashes. No xnview browser is seen.
2.
Open xnview and navigate with the xnview browser at the left side to the directory containing the two files. Xnview crashes, no other files or directories are selected.
