shadowilluminator plugin

Hi all,
could you please be so kind and tell me if the
ShadowIlluminator plugin
can function with XnView ?

i've read this topic
http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=3793
and i've place the .8bf file in the plugin folder
but nothing changes after restart XnView
?
