Standard layout: Tabbed preview

In XnView 1.90 there are new layout possibilities - especially for the preview area.

By default, the preview area is divided in two areas, the preview itself and the info area with tabs (e.g. Properties, EXIF, IPTC, Histogram). I think most users want to see the preview and do not care much about the other information. So I wonder whether this simultaneous display of preview and other information is really a good default.

Instead, I think the non-divided preview area with the preview also in a tab is more appropriate. That's just my understanding, discussions can start, now... ;-)

I agree! I turned that off as soon as instalation was finished... To be honest, I have no idea for most of those what they are :)

Yes, perhaps we must have preview as tab by default!

Isn't this how it was before 1.90? I liked that, it was easy to switch between the tabs.

Current is good !

• Hi !

• I like the current layout, it's handy for me, using the general browser layout #4 (default).

• So, please could you show a mock-up about that you propose ?

- Anyway, the display of the tab¦s elsewhere needs to be specified…Image
