Hallo,
could it be possible to set a special gamma value for HDRI display only. All my HDRI (HDR format) are based on gamma 1 and I would like to set it at gamma 2.2.
Best regards,
Micha

Hi,
that would be nice. Also some HDR Foramts have a exposure value in the header so that they are displayed correctly. Right now it seems that XNView does not read that value when displaying HDRI Files. When viewing such files in Photoshop, they are displayed with the correct gamma.

One question, this gamma must be used only for viewing???
Perhaps a global gamma for HDRI & OpenEXR?

If XnView could read the gamma value from the header, this would be the best. But if this isn't so easy, a global option would help too. Most of my HDRIs are gamma 1 based.
An advantage of the global option could be, that I can see, if a HDRI isn't gamma 1 based and looks wrong.

For me yes. But a gamma conversation of multi selected images could be nice too.

So this gamma setting must in Option/General or in Option/Read-Write/Read/HDR?

The HDR could be corrected for viewing of the thumbnail images and if the image is open. But I'm not sure, what is the best place for this option.
I think, RAW is a 32bit format like exr and hdr, so, we could do it like for RAW - exposure and gamma at the read options.
