Colors Not Being Used for Thumbnails

At menu, tools, options, thumbnails, thumbnail label tab, I have set text color to a light yellow, and text back to black.
With menu, view, view as set to thumbnails, the program is using both of these colors for the names of folder icons of subdirectories.
But with respect to name of individual files, as opposed to subdirectories, the program is using the light yellow for text but is not using the black for background of the text, but is using another light yellow for the background. This is unreadable.
This background yellow is the same color that the program uses for this purpose in the program default configuration. This is not the color in the preferences tab mentioned above.
Is there any to get the two colors in thumbnail labels to work for names of both folder icons and files?
