It's weird, dear moderaters...

I exit XnView but in the process of windows task manager, it still running a xnview.exe process to eat my memories.

The weirdest thing is if I reopen a xnview window and exit, the process simply added one more same .exe!

I totally doubt to use XnView if the problem cannot be solved.

My version is 1.90.2 standard.

Thanks for your attention

No...
I think that you have a clean .ini? Do you have used before 1.82.4?

Instances…

:) Hello !

• Did you tick the box Options >> General >> [x] Only one instance ?
- Then, when you close the active instance, kill the unwanted process from the Win tasks manager…

• I saw a similar issue recently with Total Commander F. M.… IIRC, it was caused by a third-party programme…
- I'll try to find out it.

 Kind regards,

:) Sad, because here I have XnView and several versions installed, I never saw such an issue !

• I'm using¦helping the soft for a decade or so, and always the issues have been fixed up, sooner or later !

• That you tell looks like some fake unwanted crap in disguise of a <xnview.exe>…
- The most times, such malwares are set as “Hidden”, you might check this displaying all files in Win, then perform a Search…
and¦or start a general scanning with a good anti-virus.
