Problem with copying selected part of picture

I have installed XnView ver. 1.90.2 (with Nconvert 1.77) on WinXP Home SP2. I started to edit a JPG picture: a rectangular area was selected and tried to copy to MS Word 8.0.
I used Ctrl-C in XnView and Ctrl-V in Word, but instead of selected area only the tab title appears in Word document. I tried Ctrl-X and Ctrl-V instead, this worked perfectly.
It seems to have problem with copying to clipboard.

You use Ctrl+C in view mode or browser?
Now XnView copy in the clipboard pathname AND image data, word seems always copy the text clipboard :-(

Exactly I closed the browser, took a scren-capture, zoom it a little, made the selection and hit Ctrl-C (or select Edit - Copy from menu).
Ctrl-X (or Edit - Cut) works!
I don't believe that Word knows how the clipboard-content was made.

In ver. 1.90 all of these was OK.

In Word, you must choose "special paste" or something like that...

Yes, you are right, of course!

After Ctrl-C, the selected part of picture AND the path/tab title as text are copied to the clipboard. In Word the Ctrl-V get the TEXT from clipboard. In "special paste" it is possible to select what will be copied from clipboard: TEXT OR PICTURE.

After Ctrl-X ONLY the selected part of picture is copied to clipboard, so word gets it (no anything else in the clipboard).

Thank you very much for information!
