Save selection or marked picture in History

Back/Forward combined with "[x] Cache Thumbnails" allows to quickly compare two Folders with the same pictures but e.g. "Auto Levels". (switching between the Folders with Alt-Left/Right allows to see the differences)

But it works only with the first few pictures since Alt-Left/Alt-Right jumps to the first Picture of a Folder.
If the same picture would be selected which was when changing the folder, it would be possible to step by step compare folders.
Workaround: Move compared Files to subfolder.
