thumbnails not shown

i set xnview as my default picture viewer, (most used) jpg,bmpgif, and when i goto the picture folder via windows explorer the pictures thumbnails are not shown, just an xnview icon, i want thumbnails and xnvuew as defaukt how can i remedy this situation??

You have only the problem when you start it from windows explorer??

No, when browsing with windows explorer itself, apparently.
If xnview took over the file association and changed the icons, the only alternative might be registry editing. You can unassociate the formats, but then you'll have to set the default action back up manually. Xnview doesn't leave thumbnails enabled for gif, jpeg, tiff, and other well-known formats.
Pierre, if you want to fix this, you should add shellx to your formats in the HKCR, following these instructions:
