Ideal Acquire TWAIN (Scanner) dialog

I've used XnView 1.90.2 just for 3 months and I can be absolutely sure it is way more fast & cool and convenient than acdsee (for me). I've used acdsee v5 for five years, because it has the most convenient ScanMultipleImages dialog.

The 5 years of scanning multiple images using various programs yield these wishes:

1. Make dialog integrated (Select source + format + ScanNow) without that fossil'd split to Select & Acquire menu items

2. Do we really have to copy&paste the path into "Destination" ? Why not acquire into current folder? never saw such a nuisance (am I stupid and miss something?)

3. It is really easy to make acquire-process to skip existing files (using current template) automatically, so why should we always enter the start number of sequence? why there's not a button when saving a file from twain module to "Auto skip existing and assign next number" ?

4. Bug with updating scanned images - last image is displayed partially in thumbnail browser and preview window (sometimes even in hex ! mode) - it seems that event of "new file appeared in current folder" doesn't wait for twain module to finish writing the file (just 200 milliseconds though...) - and F5 keyboard shortcut doesn't update screen - you have to switch to another image then F5, then the last scanned.

5. When I tweak format settings for the scanning job - is it wise to automatically save them as global defaults? I'm sure that an option of "Save as default" or "Use just for this operation" will be way more sane - also in batch operations!

Those were my humble and not opinions based on common sense I hope and urge to participate in bettering this excellent gem - XnView

Thanx!
