xnview v1.90.3

In browser mode the thumbnail of pic with 3:2 acpect ratio (JPEG 2560x1712 Casio Z55 Image) has black color of thumbnail back color exept my default color (grey) if thumbnail width is less than 161. If it equal or more than 161 the color is right (grey).
Also if make resize this pic with no chages (just select resize and click ok) or just rewrite this pic than after saving there is also right back color (grey). I can provide the test pic.

Could you post a screenshot?

I guess the problem reported has to do with the embedded thumbnail.

Perhaps you can perform the following tests:

Test A: Option unchecked?
Perhaps the option "Create thumbnail from original image if embedded is smaller than thumbnail size" is deactivated? You find this option in "Tools > Options > Browser > Thumbnails". Perhaps you can check and activate it if deactivated.
After closing options dialog, you have to use "View > Rebuild thumbnails" for rebuilding the thumbnails and refreshing the cache for the thumbnails currently viewed.

Test B: Do not used embedded thumbnail
Perhaps you can deactivate option "Tools > Options > Browser > Thumbnails > Use embedded thumbnail".
After closing options dialog, you have to use "View > Rebuild thumbnails" for rebuilding the thumbnails and refreshing the cache for the thumbnails currently viewed.

Thanks, helmul. Solution B has solved my problem. But could you explain me why this happaned, because with resaved pics no such problem??? In previous versions there was no such bug...as I remember...

There might be a problem in XnView. Could you please provide a sample image to reproduce the problem (if possible upload it on a webserver or send it to Pierre)?
