Hello,

I am a new user of xnview and I find it a great viewer.

But: when opening raw images from a nikon D70 camera (.NEF) takes about 40 sec/image.
The tumbnails appear instantely, but when I click them (to open the image, It go wrong and takes to long). In the right corner below, you see hanging the progress bar in the viewer on the first blue block.

Please advice.

Hello Pierre.,

This option stands on full size. When I put it on half size --> twice as fast

When I put it on embedded thumbnails it is fast, but the image is to small.

So I put it on half size and it takes about ... 5 secs. Is this acceptable ?

with kind regards,
jm.

The NEF-pictures of my Nikon Coolpix 5700 take approximately 15 seconds to load (full size). File size is 8 Megabyte. I think that is normal because the original Nikon View application needs the same time to load the same nef-file. Loading raw-pictures consumes very much CPU-power.

Until version 1.90.2 xnview even crashed when I selected more than one nef-file at a time or when I openend several nef-files consecutively. But I am not ableto reproduce that with version 1.91.
