Extracting original images from a slideshow exe-file?

Hi,
I made a slide show and created an exe file from that with XnView.
Due to some ID 10-T -problem I deleted those images but still have the exe.
Apart from clicking through the exe, making screenshots, and cropping them afterwards: is there a way to get the original images out of the exe file?

In EXE you have the jpeg version of pictures, so it's possible to extract these pictures... Send me the exe file

I guess it's not that Pierre want to keep a secret, it's because it's a bit complicated to extract the JPG images stored in the slide file. As there are more and more people asking for a way for extraction it might be a good idea to describe it, even if it was long winded or many steps.
A simple way of getting the images stored in the slide show executable is by taking screenshots during slide show and storing each single image.
A command line parameter (e.g. "-extract") which extracts all files from the slide show rather than displaying the slide show might be a good future enhancement.

Sorry for not at first describing what I finally did to resolve the problem.
Here's how to extract a jpeg (repeat for each stored jpeg inside the exe):
1) Check a regular jpeg with a Hex-Editor for some characters at the start and at the end that are the same in each file assuming they describe how a jpeg has to be coded.
2) Search for those start- and end-characters in the exe file. Delete all code before and after one of the finds and save the result as a file with the extension .jpg.
3) Load the exe again (or undo the deletion) and continue with the second finding of these chracters (=file) and so on.
A powerful freeware Hex-Editor that does this job is
HxD.

Apologies for the necro, but that link is dead. I found the file on a russian forum (

) but I used it on a EXE slideshow & it worked great. It's attached to this post.
