scrollbar area panable even when bar is hidden (small bug)

I guess this is more a bug than a feature so...

When scroll bar (vertical) is hidden and you resize the window so it's height is smaller than the height of the image (in its current zoom state) you can still RMB-grab and pan the image leftwards to show a gray area (outside the image) on the right where the hidden scrollbar would be.

I'm assuming this bug has to do with the scrollbar as you can only pan to see this gray column when the scrollbar would naturally be activated.

it's hardly a nuisance worth mentioning but I guess it'd also be very easy to fix.
