Hi there,

Odd problem concerning one of my external hard drives ...

I have one internal drive partitioned to C: and D:
I have 2 external usb hard drives E: (a Western Digital My Book 320gb) and F: (a Maxtor Onetouch III 400gb)

Create a folder called Test, and 7 subfolders called 1 to 7 creating them in a random order.
Copy the folder Test to all my drives.
In XnView add each folder Test as a favourite.
Look on the favourites tab of the tree pane.
For C:, D: and F: the sub folders show in name order just like the folders tab of the tree pane, i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
For E: the sub folders show in the order I created them, i.e. 7, 2, 1, 3, 5, 4 ,6.
I've tried this several times and for some reason my external drive E: always shows favourite subfolders in date order not name.

Simon.

Confirmed on USB key formatted using FAT. It doesn't occur using NTFS though.

Aaaah yes! My E: drive is FAT while the others are NTFS, I didn't notice that. Thank you.
