Category, Rating, Label, Tag

I have just discovered XnView and so far I think it's great! Except for the very inadequate help file.
Why can I not find anything about categories, ratings and labels? How can these features be available in the program and not be mentioned in the help file?
So I came to this forum to see what I can find. I have discovered I drag and drop files to create categories, ratings and labels. All good. Now how do I get rid of them? I see I can remove categories via the context menu. But what about ratings and labels?
And in the options for View / Fullscreen 'show information' what is Tag: <Tag> for?

Hello ! Welcome aboard !
• The official Help file is not updated yet… However, you could get a clue about the new features
you're talking of, just have a glance to our
ONLINE MANUAL.
• Not very detailed, but better than nothing…

Kind regards,
Claude

Hi Clo
Thank you for the welcome. And the link. Unfortunately it hasn't helped. The instruction to add/remove a rating or label starts as follows:
Select the image on the board of thumb nails or on the list, then open the Show Menu.
Where is the Show Menu? I see no menu bar, button or context menu item for it.
I didn't even add the rating that way. I added it by drag and drop.
No menu ?

Again…
• Are you telling me that you have no general menu-bar in the browser window ?
• Indeed, there is one, but I wrote the wrong name, please read “
View” Menu instead.
- BTW, this kind of menu is so-called Show in some programmes, hence finally I got muddled. I correct that.

Hi Clo
Yes the problem was only the term you used. I have found the correct menu and now have unlabelled my files.
Thanks again for your help on this.
Are you able to answer the other half of my enquiry regarding the program Options for View / Fullscreen 'Show information'. What is Tag: <Tagstatus> for? In fullscreen it shows as Tag: [ ].

Hello !
• Hm… I ought confess that I didn't “dig” that yet, I see the same useless fly-crap than you on a full screen display
{not even translated, I'll give
Pierre a telling-off !

}
• But I bet that some marker-fans will be able to explain, so please stay tuned…
- Now, the Manual is corrected “Online” and @ download (from my Web Page), sorry for this mistake.
