There is an EXIF tab under each of my images, but I cannot activate it. To see EXIF information I must "right click" on the image itself, then open "properties". Am I missing something? Can I display EXIF information alongside open images?

What do you means by 'activate' the tab???

I mean that (left or right) clicking on the tab does nothing. I had hoped that clicking on the EXIF tab would open an EXIF information window.

• I suppose that you're talking about the tabs above the preview area in the browser ?

• Well, when an image has an EXIF marker, the tab is present.
- But that doesn't mean that the EXIF info is available !
- In example, here I've a bunch of JPEG files which show EXIF markers, but their EXIF lists are empty,
that's not a bug, it's related to the content of the image.
- It could be so because either the info from a certain camera is not supported, or it's really empty…

Sorry I have not made myself clear. I'll try again.

I'm looking at the contents of a folder that I have open in the program -- [Browser - F:\My Pictures\200701-05\200705\]. That folder consists of 269 objects (photos/images) which are displayed individually. On the bottom right hand corner of each object (photo/image) there is a small "tag" labeled EXIF. (On a few of them there are three "tags": XHP, IPTC, EXIF.) If I (left or right) click on one of those "tags" nothing happens. But if I right click on the photo/image itself I am able to open an EXIF window. I assumed the "tags" were there for a purpose and that I was doing something wrong?

What I really want to know is: What is the best way or ways to display EXIF information for each of my photos/files?

I think I just screwed up and sent a reply as a Guest. I'm a klutz.

. . . and by the way, Claude, I should have added that my EXIF information for the photos/files in question displays in two other programs I use: Nikon View and IDimager. So I'm sure it is there.

• Just left-click on each thumbnail, then you get the preview and the tabs for each info,
according to the small overlay icons on the thumb nails…

• With a right-click, you can choose Properties in the local menu (at bottom), and you get a box with similar tabs…
…but no preview, no histogram.
- IMHO, I guess that the tab-header above the preview is the best user-friendly way…
- Anyway, I checked then the two displays for one image having an empty EXIF : It's empty with the two ways…

- But maybe I didn't get you alright ?
