Batch conversion with subfolders?

There is a function to restore the subfolders when batch converting a number of files. However the top folders are missing when I do this. I only get 3 to 4 levels of subfolders, all the top folders are missing. Why is this?
Is there a workaround?
I need to convert a file tree with images in tiff to en exact copy of the file tree, but with jpegs instead.

XnView restore the common folders between files, it doesn't restore the exact folder tree.

XnView restore the common folders between files, it doesn't restore the exact folder tree.
What do you mean, between files?
Why not restore the exact file tree as is? That would be simpler to understand for all. Now it is simply confusing and not usable.
Hoping for a fix...

So if you have selected such files:
\folder1\folder2\folder3\folder4\test.jpg
\folder1\folder2\folder3\folder5\test.jpg
and you convert them into \newfolder
You want to have:
\newfolder\folder1\folder2\folder3\folder4\test.jpg
\newfolder\folder1\folder2\folder3\folder5\test.jpg
Right?
