Hi all.
Thank you for excellent free tool!

I have minor problem: "View->Display Color Information" loses its state between pictures and view sessions. Older version remembers state of this menu item (as expected).

In 1.90 the behaviour of the colour information has changed, see topic Show colour info not saved… for more details.

Thank you for tip Helmut.

But program ignores its ini-file until I start xnview in command prompt with -ini key. After that programm fills file in and later works well. Slightly confusing IMHO.

.ini files can be located in various directories and have a search order, perhaps that's the reason why your .ini file is ignored. To be honest I'm currently not clear what the search order is.

A few days ago I found the following entry in the WIN.INI file of my Windows 2000 system:

Code: Select all

[programs]
xnview.exe="C:\Program Files\XnView\xnview.exe"
I have since removed the line, but I'm still wondering how it got there in the first place and if this could be the reason why certain settings don't stick between sessions of some users' installations.

Xnview search like this :
* -ini
* user data folder
* xnview folder
*- windows folder
