Crash creating thumbnails - seems when JP2 files in folder

XnView 1.91.1 is suffering a fatal crash when creating thumbnails in various folders.

When the error reporting box appears, I can still scroll the thumbnails already created, and it appears that the first files not processed are always JPEG 2000 format, and so far as I've seen so far, are all losslessly compressed.

I can experiment a bit if it's helpful, but I'd like to know from anyone else's experience what kinds of changes to make to the files to get more info (it's not a format I know the workings of.)

This is using Windows XP x64 edition, with JPEG 2000 files mostly created by IrfanView's plugin for the format.

If you have only these jp2 files in a folder, do you have the crash?

Just tried that, and yes, even with just one file.

Could you send me the file?

An example file is on the way. Thanks for your interest in the issue! :)

I showed up to report the same trouble. :p

I can't make it happen on single files, but I can with a number of two-file combinations - the crashing file will only actually cause a crash after another jp2's been thumbnailed. It's also not related to the read-ahead setting. My files aren't even close to lossless, btw.

Here's an archive that shows the crash, as well as my xnview settings exported from the registry: http://foxyshadis.slightlydark.com/random/tsuki_jp2.rar

System:
XP SP2, 2GB mem, core2 dual core.

That was the right question to consider!

I had the lwf_jp2.dll in place. When it's disabled (and xjp2.dll is present) the problem goes away.

Thanks! :)

Hmm. That fixes it, but.... is it possible that you could look into debugging it? Lurawave jp2 decoder is literally about 10 times faster than jasper. (One image took 10 seconds to decode and display in jasper, and 1 second in lurawave, and that includes the resizing time.)

If not, at least I know how to deal with it, and it only seems to affect thumbnailing, not browsing and viewing normally.
