Firefox 3.0a (create a new profile if you're on 2.0 and want to test 3.0a) now supports the APNG format. Maybe it could be implemented in xnView?
Specs: http://wiki.mozilla.org/APNG_Specification
Sample: http://mozillalinks.org/wp/2007/03/crea ... ated-pngs/

no body from libpng would support it.. refer to their site.. i don't know why they hate simple solution to animation instead of mng... apng is much simpler.. i hope they reconsider

Me too ... there is a need for animated PNG ... either APNG or MNG ... 12 years after big success with static PNG file format :P

I wish the JNG format was more widely supported in both browsers & editors. The ability to have both alpha transparency & JPG filesizes would be great.
